2 Corinthians 12:9
There are times, maybe even seasons, when we feel like the Lord is testing us beyond what we can bear. At such times we may cry out, “LORD! How do You get glory from my suffering . . . failures . . . illnesses . . . my inability to take care of my family and financial obligations?" "How do You get the glory from this?!"
Without fail, that is when He shows Himself strong on our behalf. It is in our times of weakness that He makes us strong. And He may even gently whisper, “Do not fear. Stop fretting. My grace is sufficient for you. Remember: My lovingkindnesses and tender mercies are more than enough – they are available in every situation. My presence and power are most unmistakable and effective in your weakness.”
How comforting to be reminded that: In the midst of trials that seemingly test us beyond endurance, there is always the living God.
